So my listing that I have for sale is also listed for rent. I explained to my seller that we might be able to get it rented faster then selling it since she wouldn't get what she wanted for the house, and she would not qualify for a short sale either. Low and behold she agreed that the renter would help
cover the mortgage and if she only had to shell out maybe 100 to 200 dollars then she would be OK with that.
I entered it into the MLS and things were going great had multiple showings and phone calls. Well some of the phone calls were from people calling from Section 8. Now I don't have a problem with them calling. The problem I was having was:
1. I never entered the listing into Section 8.
2. It was also showing up as a 3 bedroom vs a 2 bedroom and was showing it was going for $1,000 vs the $1300 I had it listed for.
Now I was happy it was there since my client wouldn't mind taking section 8 and maybe it streamlines from the MLS like Trulia.com and Realtor.com do. My problem is if it is going to do just that then have the correct information streamline. Many of the people who were calling were upset when I told them the info was wrong.
They seemed to think I was the one who entered it in there. No honey I am not, Why would I put the wrong info? Ugg. So now its about trying to get it fixed and you and I know that government sites are the hardest to get corrected.
Luckily I may have the home rented out. One of the callers from Section 8 went by the house and fell in love with it. So we will see!!!
Have any of you had this problem?
