OK I am looking for some help on this one. But I'm not looking for your money, not that's not what I'm after! What I am looking for is for your soda can tabs! Yup you read that right. The tabs to the cans!
Tamarac Elementary is collecting the tabs to send to the Ronald Mcdonalds house. If you don't know much about Ronald McDonald's House here is a brief description:
Established in 1988, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida is a not-for profit organization dedicated to helping local children live happier, healthier and more productive lives by supporting healthcare and medical research programs, education and the arts, and civic and social programs. The Ronald McDonald House® (RMH) is a temporary "home-away from home®" for families to find rest, support and time away from realities of the hospital procedures and routines in any Miami-Dade and Broward County pediatric medical facility. Opened its doors in 1981 and is located on the campus of the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Medical Center. I would love to help them out. Let's see if we can collect enough tabs. There's a restaurant in Cape Coral, Papa Joe's, that asks everyone to bring in the tabs. My father-in-law also used to collect them at his company. Keep up your good work, Jeannette.

My mom is a teacher and the kid who brought in the most was really really smart. He went to a local store and helped people put their cans in the machines as he did it, he would tear off the tabs and throw them in a box at his feat.
People loved helping him and by the end of on saturday he had over 2000 tabs!

Todd That sounds like a great idea. Too bad we don't do things like that here. I remember living in NY and getting 5cents for every can. Not here!
