I was in an accident today

Man it was raining hard out today and on my way back home I was waiting on the Turnpike to exit off onto Commerical Blvd. While waiting there I got hit from behind, so hard that it pushed me so far ahead. Luckily I was a good distance from the car in front of me or I would have slammed into it as well.

I was so shaken up. Out of nowhere this happens! Luckily as well I had my seat belt on or I would have hit the steering well. I got out to look at the damages, but the medical in me went to see if the driver in the car was ok. He turned out to be ok, but scared like I was.

We called the police and waited there for them. As I was waiting I was dealing with clients who called me on a contract that we wrote up and having to make sure we make a great offer. Thanks goodness we agreed on what to offer, he signs the contract and emails it back to me. On top of that, his brother is also buying a home with me and had to set up a meeting at the office with him tom to sign his contracts as well.

Had to call my broker and get the conference room assigned for it, he was laughing because here I am in this accident and I am still working with these clients. All while still waiting on the FHP.

My husband came out to the accident site even after I told him not too. It was raining so bad I felt there was no need for him to be in the rain as well. But I was to see him when he pulled up.

When my clients found out that I was just in the accident they were asking why I still was taking the calls and managing to deal with this. Its in my nature to make sure all is done right.

I'm ok, but shaken up and scared. I know tom I will be sore because of the RA and have an appointment set up to see my doctor before my meeting with them.

Glad I was driving a truck though and it had a hitch that pretty much saved the back bumper. The car had damage to the front of his car.

I will post the pictures tom.

Thank goodness everyone was okay, other than being scared and shaken up.  Proof that REALTORS really do work ALL THE TIME.  You are obviously very dedicated to your job, and I'm sure that your clients appreciate that.

Jeannette- I coach many agents on this very subject. There is serving others and there is taking care of yourself. I would have counseled you to tell your clients what happened and that you would get back to them as soon as you got back home and rested. You can also make mistakes when you are shaken up so sometimes a good intention may end up being a liability. You are an awesome agent and your clients know that. So now you go to sleep, the stress has to be released. Take care and I will say a prayer you have no residual injuries from the accident.

I'm glad you were wearing your seat belt.  Take time to take care of yourself.

It may take a day or two before you feel it.

Thank goodness everyone is all right!  The vehicles are just material, as much as we need them.  Yes, it's a terrible thing to happen.  It almost happened to me on Friday evening.  Heard the screeching tires and saw the vehicle swerving widly behind me.  You need to just relax this evening or at least try to.

Hi Jeannette

I live in Boca Raton and I can relate to the rain today there were times that you could not see the front of the car. Your ok and that's important cars can be repaired.

Good luck and success

Jeannette, thank heavens you are okay! That would shake a person up. I'm glad you didn't have the kids in the car too. Relax and enjoy your drugs! Take Advil in the morning because I'm afraid you'll be sore. How's your neck? Don't sign any releases yet. You take care.

Later in the rain~Deb
